In Greek Orthodox culture, Stefana are wedding crowns that symbolize glory and honor bestowed upon the wearer and their partner. This Stefana was a custom piece created by myself and Vivian Anton of Paul’s Jewelers in 2022.
The crown is Yellow Gold and the gemstones consist of Jade, Peridot, Garnet, Fire Opal, Pearl, and Turquoise.
Vivian made the crown, wire wrapping, gold leaves, and beaded the garnet, Pearls, and peridot.
My beadwork included the Turquoise, and Jade, Fire Opal elements.
Additionally I drilled into acrylic sheeting and secured the crown to the base. I also created the vinyl decals. In the front and center is AXIOS, which means worthy. Then on the bottom right corner I scanned and created a vinyl stencil of Vivian’s signature in her Greek name - Paraskevi.
